오늘은 루프스킨 제거와 관리의 중요성을 알려드리고자 합니다!

현대 싼타페 DM 루프스킨이 시공한지 7년이 넘은 상태입니다.

루프스킨이 손상되면 색상이 탁하게 변하거나 갈라지는 현상이 옵니다.

보통 루프스킨은 블랙 유광으로 많이 시공을 하지만 사진을 보시면 무광입니다.

원래 무광이 아니고 색이 변한 겁니다.

루프스킨의 수명은 2~3년 정도 말씀드리고 있습니다.

Today I would like to inform you about the importance of removing and managing the roof wrap!

The roof wrap has been on this Hyundai SantaFe for 7 years.

When the roof wrap is starting to be of its age, the color changes and/or cracks occur.

Usually the roof wrap is done in gloss black, but as you can see in the picture it's matte color.

It's not matte, but just discoloration from aging.

Usually lifespan of roof wrap is about 2~3 years.

루프는 햇빛과, 눈, 비, 등 여러 환경을 가장 많이 견뎌내는 부위라

다른 곳에 비해 수명이 짧은 편이죠.

보통 2년 정도에 제거하시거나 재시공을 추천해 드립니다.

물론 4~5년 후에도 제거가 가능하나 제거비용과 시간이 더 걸릴 수 있으며

도장면의 색이 변할 수도 있습니다.

Roof is the part that withstands the most environmental conditions

such as sunlight, snow, and rain. Due to this, it has a shorter lifespan compared to other parts.

Usually, we recommend removing the roof wrap after 2 years and getting it redone.

Of course it's still possible to remove after 4~5 years, but it requires more time and labor cost

and also the color of the OEM paint may have discoloration.

7년이 지난 루프스킨은 거의 최악의 상황입니다.

제거가 쉽지 않으며 접착제도 많이 남으며 필름이 계속 찢어지면서 떨어집니다.

랩핑지를 그냥 잡고 떼면 되는 거 같지만 말처럼 쉽지 않습니다.

다이로 하시기에는 힘도 시간도 많이 들며

웬만하면 업체에 맡기시는 게 가장 좋고 추천해 드립니다. ^^

이 정도 노후된 루프스킨은 DIY 하지 마세요~ 후회하실 수도 있습니다. ㅎㅎㅎ

7 year old roof wrap is probably the worst case scenario.

Removing it is not easy and leaves a lot of sticky residue.

Since removing it is just pulling the vinyl off the surface, it may look easy, but it's not.

If you're DIYing, it may take a long time and won't be easy at all.

I recommend taking it to a professional to get it removed. :)

Don't DIY a 7 year old roof wrap because you're going to regret it.

제거를 하시고 루프스킨을 재시공해도 되지만

손님이 이대로 타시기로 결정하셨습니다.

After a long day, it's finally finished!

Car looks so much cleaner and finally shows the white roof

that's been hidden underneath for so long.

After removing, you can redo the roof wrap,

but customer decided to just leave it as is.
